100
yard Sand Shot
This doesn’t have to be the hardest shot in golf. Make sure
you dig your feet in a bit to get a good solid stance. This
now means you are closer to the ball so you will have to
choke down on your club approx
1 inch.
When making your club selection choose the club for the
distance, do not club up. You will be hitting the ball first
in the shot, not the sand. When making your swing you
want to keep your lower body as still as possible, meaning
swing more with your arms and shoulders in the back swing.
We do this so we do not move around to much during the swing
which makes it easier to hit the ball first. Focus in on
the ball and make a full swing, pretend you are hitting it
off of the cart path and you cant hit behind the ball, keep
your knees flexed and hit through the shot. Don’t swing
hard. Have fun in the sand.
